PRESIDENT – JOE NICOLO

REVEL Music Group President, Joe “The Butcher” Nicolo, is a 9 time Grammy award-winning producer and record label owner. He was the founder/co-owner of Ruffhouse Records which sold over 100 million records and garnered nine Grammy awards before being bought by Sony Music in 2000. He found and released such iconic artists as Lauryn Hill, The Fugees, Cypress Hill, Wyclef Jean, Kris Kross, Nas, and DMX. He created the legendary Studio 4 in Philadelphia, where he honed his skills in recording, mixing, and producing. It was during this time that he earned the nickname “The Butcher” for his skillfulness at being able to piece together and mix tracks. A few local artists that recorded their early albums at Studio 4 with Joe include Boyz II Men and DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince (Will Smith). Joe discovered Will Smith and produced his first album, the Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince album, “He’s the DJ, I’m the Rapper” which went on to win the first Rap Grammy award. His success with these artists resulted in Joe becoming staff producer for Columbia Records. During his ten-year tenure, he produced some of the most successful recording artists in the industry including The Rolling Stones, Will Smith, Aerosmith, Bob Dylan, Mariah Carey, Phil Collins, Luther Vandross, The Police, 311, and countless others. Joe produced James Taylor’s “Hourglass” album, which won a Grammy in 1999. He was also nominated for a Grammy for his production of Billy Joel’s album “River of Dreams”. Joe has also produced a number of feature films with Feverpitch Pictures and Kindred Media Group. Joe has also served as Music Supervisor on films including “Shade”, “Zebrahead”, and “Juice”, the classic hip-hop film starring Tupac Shakur, Queen Latifah, and Samuel L. Jackson. In April 2003, Joe was honored by the Philadelphia Chapter of National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (Grammys) by being awarded the Heroes Award as recognition of his outstanding work and contributions to the U.S. music industry on both a national and local level.


GENERAL MANAGER/ CFO – COLE THOMAS

Cole Thomas is the General Manager and Chief Financial Officer of Revel Music Group. He also is CEO and co-founder of Revel Pursuit Property LLC, a real estate investment and management company. Cole was formerly an investment banking analyst for Credit Suisse, a global Wall Street investment bank, in their Media & Telecommunications Group. At Credit Suisse, Cole worked with a variety of companies in the media and entertainment space. Cole graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University in three years with a dual major in Finance/International Business and a Theater minor. While in school, Cole ran an independent record label, worked as a show promoter, and was a licensed commercial real estate agent. He’s known by many as the “Cracker with Cheese”.

DIRECTOR OF A&R/ PRODUCTION – TYLER NICOLO

Tyler Nicolo, son of Joe Nicolo, is a production prodigy. From spinning rap records when he was three years old to producing a track with Dishwalla when he was ten to producing tracks for recording artists on Roc-a-fella Records (Jay-Z’s label) in his teens, Tyler has been producing music from the beginning. Tyler has extensive skills in music production, mixing, song arrangement, and mastering. Tyler has an insider’s knowledge of the music business from witnessing his father’s Ruffhouse days firsthand and working under him at his label and in the studio. He also has a foundation in new media from studying Communications and English at Cabrini College.


DIRECTOR OF DIGITAL OPERATIONS – DAN CONWAY

Dan Conway is the Director of Digital Operations for Revel Music Group. He has been with the company since its launch in September of 2008, applying his skills to everything from website design and management to the development of a cutting-edge digital distribution system for Revel content. Before joining the Revel team, Dan worked for Brooklyn based NewSong Music helping to organize an international singer songwriter series and further honing his online skills. Dan is currently finishing a degree in Music Industry at Drexel University in Philadelphia, which consistently ranks as the top Music Industry program in the country.


A&R – DAVID KAHNE

David Kahne is a celebrated major label A&R executive and Grammy award-winning producer. David served long stints as Senior Vice-President of A&R at Columbia Records, Reprise Records, and later Executive Vice-President of A&R at Warner Brothers Records. As Staff Producer for Columbia Records and as an independent producer, David has produced some of the biggest names in the business: Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Tony Bennett, Stevie Nicks, Sublime, Kelly Clarkson, The Strokes, Regina Spektor, Issac Hayes, Sugar Ray, K.D. Lang, and The Bangles. David also helped close the groundbreaking distribution deal between McCartney and Starbucks’ new label, Hear Music. He was awarded a Grammy in 1994 for producing the Album of the Year, Tony Bennett’s “MTV Unplugged.” He has also produced songs for “Vanilla Sky,” “Orange County,” “The Beach,” “Clockstoppers,” and a variety of other films and television shows. He owns SeeSquared Studios in New York and is currently producing a variety of major artists.


A&R – MIO VUKOVIC

Mio Vukovic has led a storied career as a record label owner, A&R executive, and producer manager. He began his music career as the co-founder of Vendetta Records and released projects by Jane’s Addiction, Ice-T, and DJ Muggs. He served as an A&R executive for Geffen Records for ten years, VP of A&R of 550/Epic Records for three years, and A&R executive for Warner Brothers Records for three years. Most recently he has performed as an A&R consultant to Hollywood Records (Disney) and works with AAM Management representing producers, mixers, and composers. At AAM, he represents marquee producers including David Kahne, Mark Ronson, Dr. Luke, Damon Thomas, among others. As an A&R executive, Mio oversaw projects by Aerosmith, Madonna, Enya, Cheetah Girls, New Order, K.D. Lang, and a variety of others. He has also worked as A&R on a number of soundtracks including Pulp Fiction, Days of Thunder, and Colors.


FILM CONSULTANT – JASON LOFTUS

Jason is a Casting Director at Heery Casting, and is a member of the Prestigious Casting Society of America. Jason has worked on major studio features such as: “National Treasure”, “Invincible”, “Charlotte’s Webb”, “Rocky Balboa”, “Shooter”, “The Happening”, Peter Jackson’s “The Lovely Bones”, and the upcoming “Transformers 2”, and M. Night Shyamalan’s :The Last Air Bender”. His independent film credits include “The Woodsman”, “Shadowboxer”, “Our Lady of Victory”, “Dead Riot”, “Tooth and Nail”, “Tenure” (2009), “Arlen Faber” (2009), “Shelter” (2009), “Happy Tears” 2009), and “Law Abiding Citizen” (2009). Jason has also worked for the Screen Actors’ Guild in member relations, and as a talent agent. He has worked on-set for film and television productions such as: CBS’ “Hack”, “Cold Case”, “Like Mike”, and “The Italian Job.” As an actor Jason has worked in several Television and Film projects such as “The Sopranos”, “Dawson’s Creek”, “Hack”, “Cold Case”, “Freedom Song,” and “The Wire.” Jason has an MBA from Duke University.


PUBLICITY – KATHY REILLY AND PERMANENT PRESS MEDIA

Kathy Reilly and her partner Lisa Markowitz launched Permanent Press Media in January of 2007. Throughout their careers with Epic Records, Kathy and Lisa worked some of the most significant music press campaigns of the last couple decades. They have over 35 years of collective experience developing and refining a band’s identity. Collectively and separately, Kathy and Lisa have been at the helm of successful press campaigns for many artists – Rage Against The Machine, Pearl Jam, Fiona Apple, Screaming Trees, Culture Club, Oasis, Tenacious D, Indigo Girls, AC/DC, Audioslave and Modest Mouse – just to name a few.


ENTERTAINMENT LEGAL COUNSEL – BERNARD RESNICK

Bernard M. Resnick, Esq. is an entertainment attorney practicing in Philadelphia, PA, USA. He has worked in the entertainment industry for over twenty years. His firm, Bernard M. Michael is the Managing Partner of Selverne & Company, PLLC and is rated AV by Martindale Hubbell signifying the highest rating of professional excellence. Concentrating on transactions in the music and media areas, Mr. Selverne is well versed in recording and publishing agreements, label agreements, joint venture agreements, various license agreements as well as a host of transactions in new media, internet, and interactive transactions. Mr. Selverne has a specialty in music publishing and licensing as well enterprise development and operation in the media space. Mr. Selverne also advises clients on the acquisition, merger or divestiture of their assets, including master and copyright catalogues, debt restructuring, raising financing through asset backed lending, private placement, venture capital and commercial loan transactions, structuring of licensing arrangements covering copyrights, and trademarks. Bradley Rodos is a partner at Fox Rothschild LLP. Bradley provides REVEL Music Group with legal counsel in corporate matters including organization, venture financing, intellectual property, tax planning, and employment. He has extensive experience in advising emerging companies from launch to an eventual sale or IPO. He has a B.S. from University of Pennsylvania Wharton School and a J.D. from Columbia University Law School.
